The purpose of the Metro NJ ISOA is to recruit, train, and retain highly capable intercollegiate soccer officials. This is accomplished by providing ongoing educational opportunities to our members, promoting the standards set forth by the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association and the NCAA and by promoting the game of intercollegiate soccer.

2024 DUES:

Renewal Dues


It is time for the annual NISOA dues renewal.   Due to NISOA's new 3 year agreement with RefQuest, they have increased our dues to them this year.  The following are benefits we as referees will receive utilizing RefQuest:


-  Access to NCAA portal

-  Access to the NAIA portal

-  Background screening

-  Access to the annual NCAA test


That being said, our 2024 dues will increase to $175 and are payable by December 27th.  Refer to the email distributed on December 7th for complete details. Any questions, please contact Treasurer Howard Sislin.


2023 Season Updates: New NCAA uniform requirements are out! All should have received the email from the chapter, NCAA and NISOA. Order by June 15th to get the special promotional pricing


 
 The Banquet commemorating the 2023 season will be in late January or February. Additional details will be forthcoming.


2023 Chapter Gatherings:

The following are all the meeting dates for the 2023 season:

Annual Mandatory physical fitness test: Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at FDU Florham and Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Mount Olive High School. Check in at 6:30pm, ppt to start at 7pm.  Field sessions to follow ppt. **Bring completed NISOA medical waiver! **  If you cannot attend either session, you may attend a ppt offered by another chapter.


Preseason Interpretation meeting will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 8pm via Zoom. A zoom link will be provided closer to the meeting date.


In season chapter meeting dates will be held virtually as well. Dates forthcoming. You will receive a Zoom invite to register for the meetings.


Also, as NISOA training opportunities arise, you will be informed through Arbiter, as long as you are registered with NISOA for 2023.

2023 NCAA Post Season Test

To those NISOA officials who want to be eligible for NCAA Post-season games, you must take and pass this test.  If you do not want to be eligible for NCAA post season games, there is no need to take this test.

1.  The test to be eligible for NCAA post season games only must be taken.  
2.  You access the test through the NCAA Hub on Refquest  
3.  Before you can take the test, you must register and submit the $1100 registration fee.
4.  This is a different test than the NISOA refresher test.

If you want to be ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE ON THE NCAA HUB!!  The test will likely open up some time in August and you will be notified via email.



The Latest News

If you eject someone from your match, you must file the report electronically within 24 hours of match completion.  The form is located on the Refquest website in the NCAA HUB account. Reminder that you no longer need to mail or fax the supplemental ejection report that had been used in season's past. 2023 Season Info

Rule changes for the 2023 season will be released by the NCAA around the July timeframe. We will review at our meeting in August. 

Rule books are published every 2 years. If you would like to download a copy of the NCAA 2022-23 rule book you may access it on the NISOA website.


The Assessment Program: if you would like to obtain an assessment please contact Bill Guarini.  A limited amount of chapter funding is available to defray the assessment cost.
